Keynote Presentation Wednesday 27th October - 11:45-12:30 CET
KEYNOTE PRESENTATION
Container terminal yard modes around the world are in a status quo for decades, whilst vessel exchanges increased by over 300% since the advent of vessel upscaling. Terminal yards struggle to keep up with performance and capacity demands especially during high utilization resulting in supply chain congestion.
The presentation will take the viewer through an in-depth view of the terminal operator challenges and how the Box-Bay concept puts the terminal on a roadmap of Green transition. The Increased yard capacity enables the terminal to better deal with peak performance of ULCS, simplified and lean yard control enables a more vessel-oriented operation. This also highlights the abandonment of yard shuffles as well as many other advantages of the High Bay Store solution in terms of safety, security, port decarbonization, sustainability and energy.
This presentation will feature the test results of the life scale proof of concept in Jebel Ali T4 and will show the latest Box-Bay application the “Topgrid”.
The Box-Bay modular application can connect to any horizontal transport, to retrofit existing RTG – ITV yards significantly improve capacity without increasing the terminal footprint and sets up the terminals on a roadmap for decarbonization.
