Container Supply Chain Programme Wednesday 30th November / 10:00 - 11:00 SGT
Shipping is responsible for moving 90% of global trade goods, but with more than 55,000 active merchant vessels and an ecosystem for decarbonisation that’s still trying to mature, the sector must collaborate across its value chain and work towards a whole-of-systems approach in order to meet IMO’s 2030 and 2050 goal.
The Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation (GCMD) facilitates intersectoral collaboration efforts and creates business opportunities for stakeholders invested in decarbonising shipping, as well as research the trade of alternative fuels.
The GCMD will be sharing the challenges relating to maritime decarbonisation, some of the opportunities within the sector as well as its ongoing efforts.
