TECH TOC Conference 'Sustainability Day' Wednesday 19th October / 11:00 - 12:00 GMT-5
The industry is facing unprecedented pressure to reduce its carbon emissions and meet the goals set by the IMO. To achieve the sector’s long-term ambition of carbon neutrality a holistic approach encompassing power supplies, infrastructure, technology, and business models is required. Yet the following questions continue to arise: What are the first steps? What action points will follow these? How can ports and terminals benchmark their zero emission roadmaps? These and more questions should allow for key specific milestones to be met, while building up an effective, yet realistic road to decarbonisation. This session will explore different business strategies to integrate decarbonisation and sustainability into port & terminal operations without harming revenue streams.
How can terminal operators achieve effective and realistic decarbonisation?
What are the best practices for decarbonising port operations?
A holistic approach to hydrogen production models and technology, and its role within the supply chain
Strategizing zero emission actions& assessing their ROI
Identifying CO2emission amounts in ports and terminals, and developing targeted reduction strategies
