Welcome message
On November 3, 2021, we witnessed what was possibly one of the most significant presentation ceremonies in the 32-year history of Seatrade Awards.
Not only did we welcome a new relationship with the Lloyd’s List Awards, which bought together two world-class maritime award schemes; but we also had an opportunity to recognise the achievements made during an eighteen-month period that brought with it such unprecedented disruption.
Seatrade Awards consistently attracts a high number of entries; but, in 2021, this opportunity to celebrate the resilience of an industry so essential produced a record number of entries. I know I speak on behalf of our independent judging panels when I say it was a privilege to be able to learn more about your achievements throughout the assessment process.
And, while we were unable to come together in our usual fashion to celebrate, our first virtual ceremony still provided a great opportunity to recognise those achievements.
