Welcome message
On behalf of Seatrade, I am delighted to welcome you to the 32nd edition of Seatrade Awards, which takes place for the first time in association with our colleagues at Lloyd’s List.
We are honoured that Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal has agreed to provide a welcome address for this year’s event, in her capacity as the President of the Mission to Seafarers.
It would be remiss of me to not pause for a moment to reflect of the last eighteen months, where our industry has been through some of the most unprecedented disruption we have faced, and potentially ever will. In particular that of our seafarers, who, despite ongoing challenges, continue to keep crucial trade links moving with unwavering resilience.
It is that resilience that I believe is synonymous with maritime and these awards.
This year was highly competitive and featured a record-number of submissions. Diversity came in abundance, yet resilience was the link that united each.
To this year’s finalists, I wish you the best of luck.
