SAGT is committed to incorporating sustainability into business operations. The launch of “Beyond 2020” the company’s first Sustainability report, is a first for the Port of Colombo. Independently audited by DNVGL based on GRI standards, the report endorses SAGT’s commitment to corporate sustainability, transparency, and accountability. The company-initiated measures towards reducing its impact on the environment and carbon footprint. SAGT participates in a reforestation program at Yagirala Forest Reserve and has invested in state-of-the-art Hybrid technology for its diesel RTGs towards halving the use of fossil fuels.
SAGT led the industry at the on-set of the pandemic with its contactless electronic delivery advice (e-D/A) facility for import container clearance.
