J. Randy Davis earns place in AFIA's Liquid Feed Hall of Fame
The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) is pleased to announce J. Randy Davis, business development manager of Quality Liquid Feeds Inc. (QLF), as its 2023 Liquid Feed Hall of Fame inductee. AFIA’s Liquid Feed Committee presented the award – the highest award offered in the liquid feed industry – to Davis at AFIA’s Liquid Feed Symposium, being held this week in Louisville, Ky.Davis is actively involved in exploring and developing new applicants and products and in partnering with allied companies to serve as a preferred distribution option for their additives. In recent years, he has been involved with key research trials that have aided the development and knowledge of this business.

Ralco appoints Bader as president and CEO
Ralco Nutrition, Inc. has announced that Glenn Bader has been promoted to the role of president and CEO, replacing current President and CEO Brian Knochenmus. Knochenmus will continue as owner and chairman of the board in addition to his duties as chairman of the board of The trū Shrimp Companies, Inc. Bader steps into this role with more than 20 years of leadership and general management experience.Read more
NutriQuest welcomes new hires
NutriQuest and NutriQuest Business Solutions recently announced several new team additions. Sanjeev Anand has joined as vice president of business development and Mark McCulley as director of merchandising. Ellen Lueger, CPA, was named consulting chief financial officer (CFO) of NutriQuest Business Solutions (NQBS).
Sanjeev Anand will lead NutriQuest’s global business development, intellectual property strategy and technology scouting. He will also lead efforts in navigating and planning manufacturing of new technologies. Mark McCulley will provide leadership and expertise in creating merchandising plans, pricing, and operational systems.Read more
Richert joins Ralco swine nutrition team
Ralco welcomes Jacob Richert as its new associate swine nutritionist. With a Ph.D. in swine nutrition from Purdue University, a master’s degree in swine nutrition from Kansas State University and a bachelor’s degree in animal production from Purdue University, Richert brings a wealth of knowledge to the Ralco Swine Technical Team.
In his new role, Richert will play a key part in developing and supporting swine nutrition and health products at Ralco. He will also provide technical assistance to account managers and their customers, focusing primarily on the Eastern Corn Belt.Read more

King Ranch Inc. announced this week the appointment of Andy Reul, executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). As CFO, Reul brings a strong track record of successful business accomplishments and a wealth of knowledge across various sectors of agribusiness.
As King Ranch’s executive vice president and CFO, Reul will partner with the president & CEO and other members of the senior leadership team to develop and implement the long-term strategic growth plan. Before joining King Ranch as CFO, Reul led a diverse global team of more than 250 professionals at Gavilon Group LLC. Read more
Perrotin and Rolli join Nedap’s dairy team
Nedap’s North American team continues to grow and strengthen. The global leader in dairy data management technology announces Thierry Perrotin has joined Nedap as vice president for dairy, North America and Emily Rolli has joined as a technical experience manager.Perrotin’s experience includes more than 20 years with DeLaval in various leadership roles in several countries, including the United States and Canada. Most recently, he worked for HydroGreen Inc., based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as vice president of business development and general manager.
AFIA welcomes new staff changes
The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) is pleased to welcome Jessica Morse as its new director of meetings and events and Emily Alvarez as its fall communications intern.Previously, Morse owned and operated Lucy Berry Bakeshop and served as an event manager for the Distilled Spirits Council and the Society of Wine Educators. During her time at the AFIA, she was a meetings and event manager. Morse holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of St. Thomas and a master’s degree in English literature from Georgetown University.Read more
Novus International announces team transition
Novus International announced this week the upcoming retirement of Dr. Uwe Ranft from his role as managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and global strategic accounts. Dr. Volker Seidl will succeed him, bringing 20 years of extensive experience to the role.Dr. Seidl joined Novus as the director of global strategic accounts in 2021. At the time, his extensive experience in the chemical and animal nutrition industries included head of sales excellence and head of global key account management at BASF Animal Nutrition.
In his new role, Dr. Seidl will help guide Novus’ commercial strategy within EMEA. In addition to his accountability for the global strategic accounts business, he’ll manage the EMEA sales and technical teams, leverage resources, and align corporate functions to support business growth and deliver value to customers.The transition period will begin immediately and continue through January 1, 2024, when Dr. Seidl’s appointment takes effect. On January 1, Dr. Ranft will switch to a senior advisory role and continue to support the transition and the business through his retirement date, March 31, 2024.
