Granite Creek Capital Partners LLC, a Chicago, Ill.-based private investment firm, announced the appointment of Matt Morgan as director of business development. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in agribusiness, Morgan will focus on sourcing investment opportunities to support the firm’s agribusiness strategy and portfolio company activities. NARA welcomes director of operations and member relations
The North American Renderers Association (NARA) announced Amy Moulden as the organization’s new director of operations and member relations. In this role Moulden will oversee the day-to-day functions of the association and lead efforts to engage and support its members.Moulden graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in animal science with a focus on agriculture economics. Before joining NARA, she worked in the rendering industry for Darling Ingredients Inc.
USDA appoints new AMS administrator
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced the appointment of Erin Morris as the next Administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), which operates under the department’s Marketing and Regulatory Programs mission area.
Morris has been serving as associate administrator of AMS, responsible for the administration and oversight of a broad range of agricultural regulatory, marketing and inspection programs conducted by AMS. Before this position, she served in a variety of other leadership positions within AMS since joining the agency about 20 years ago.Read more
Deam promoted to production planning supervisor for Brock Grain Systems
Ira Deam has been promoted to the position of production planning supervisor for Brock Grain Systems’ Sheffield, Iowa, manufacturing facility, according to Terry Nierengarten, plant manager for the CTB Inc. facility. Leading planning and purchasing, he will also develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives. Deam will identify and qualify vendors supporting Brock's business goals and oversee inventory management to ensure accuracy and on-time customer order delivery.
A CTB employee for 26 years, Deam previously served as the purchasing manager for Brock’s Sheffield location for 10 years.Read more
Foremost Farms names president, CEO
Foremost Farms USA announced that Brenda Dehart, the cooperative’s current chief financial officer, has been named president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Dehart will also continue to serve on the Executive Leadership Team.
This transition reflects a strong vote of confidence from both the board of directors and the Executive Leadership team in Dehart’s leadership and marks an exciting new chapter for the cooperative as it builds on recent momentum.
