New hires, promotions, retirements
The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) informed its members this week that Julia Kloehn will step up as GEAPS’ interim executive director. Kloehn, who has been an integral part of GEAPS since she came on board as manager of chapter services in 2007, and whose fulltime role is director of operations, will assume duties on April 1.
Kloehn's roots are in agriculture. She grew up on a family farm in rural, central Minnesota and earned degrees in english and psychology from the University of Minnesota, Morris.Read more
Ken Ford is the new director of commercial sales & outreach at BioZyme Inc., with headquarters in Saint Joseph, Missouri. As a former chief executive officer of two companies, including Hagyard Pharmacy, BioZyme said Ford is a natural leader and bring those skills to the sales and marketing teams.

Gage Nichols joins Borregaard as technical sales manager
Borregaard recently announced a new addition to its Americas Feed Additives team. Gage Nichols joined the company in early February as technical sales manager, responsible for the Midwest region.
Nichols brings a strong background in feed and animal research knowledge. Receiving his undergraduate degree at K-State in 2018 in animal sciences and his master’s degree in feed science in 2020. For the last two years Nichols was the manager of research and development at Agrilead Inc., leading the company’s innovative R&D initiatives. His background includes experience with all major production animals, with a specialization in swine.Read more
World Dairy Expo is pleased to announce Lisa Behnke, New Glarus, Wis., as their communications manager. In this role, Behnke will coordinate strategic marketing and manage internal and external communications for the world’s premier dairy event. Behnke holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she majored in dairy science with a specialization in agricultural journalism. During her career, she has held marketing and communications positions with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, The Cattle Connection, Ag Source Cooperative Services and World Dairy Expo. Most recently, she served as the marketing director for Indiana-based Egg Innovations.
Joseph Scimeca, PhD, senior vice president of regulatory and scientific affairs for the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), recently announced his plans to retire in the summer of 2023 following nearly four decades in the food industry. IDFA has begun a national search for Dr. Scimeca’s successor to lead the trade association’s regulatory & scientific affairs team.“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with the dairy industry as a critical segment of the food and beverage industry and ensuring consumers are provided safe, nutritious, and wholesome dairy products,” said Scimeca. “It’s been my distinct privilege and pleasure to have worked alongside an extraordinary IDFA staff, in close partnership with our dairy company members.”Read more

Dr. Guilherme Minozzo joins the Arm & Hammer team as business development manager for Mexico, Latin America and South America. Dr. Minozzo received his veterinarian degree from the Universidade Federal do Parana, a degree in strategic field marketing from Perdue University and a degree in business management from Fundação Getulio Vargas.Read more
