CTB Inc. names new staff members
CTB Inc. recently announced that Alaina Benjamin has been named staff attorney and Michelle St. John has been name human resources generalist. In her new position, Benjamin will provide day-to-day support in areas of contracts, transactions, employment, environmental, international, intellectual property, and immigration. She will assist in managing litigation and claims while working closely with CTB business units’ sales, engineering, and human resources departments.
Benjamin is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor degree. She graduated from Calvin University with a bachelor’s degree in business and a minor in writing.Read more
Nuria Miquel joins ADM as chief science officer
ADM recently announced the appointment of Dr. Nuria Miquel as senior vice president and chief science officer, effective August 1. Miquel will replace Dr. Todd Werpy, who has announced his retirement after leading ADM’s R&D and innovation efforts for 16 years.Read more
Mueller joins K-State as animal breeding and genetics assistant professor
Maci Mueller has been hired as assistant professor of animal breeding and genetics for the Kansas State University Animal Sciences and Industry Department. As a beef cattle geneticist, her appointment will be 70% teaching and 30% research.
Mueller will be teaching genetics during the Fall 2023 semester and her research will focus on developing innovative methods and systems to enable the widespread and routine utilization of gene editing, a powerful breeding tool, in cattle production. Her goal is to enhance animal health and welfare while improving production efficiency, by leveraging the potential of genetic-based biotechnologies. Read more
Hybrid Turkeys announces accounts manager for Hybrid USA
Hybrid Turkeys announced this week that it has hired Scott Cadwell as accounts manager for Hybrid USA, effective June 12, 2023.

Newman to lead efforts to drive U.S. pork demand at home, abroad
The National Pork Board has announced that David Newman will assume the role of senior vice president for market growth effective June 19. In this role, Newman will lead the team of 16 professionals tasked with growing market demand internationally and domestically, as well as the organization's health and nutrition research and outreach.
Newman joins the Pork Board following a successful career as a full professor at Arkansas State University, where he led the meat science program and the university's swine research facility. Read more
Lobdell promoted at Lemar Industries
Bryce Lobdell has been promoted to buyer & planner for LeMar Industries, a subsidiary of Brock Grain Systems, according to James Anderson, supply chain manager for the CTB Inc. business unit. In his new position for LeMar Industries in Des Moines and Sheffield, Iowa, Lobdell will plan and manage assigned materials as well as research, source and evaluate vendors which are aligned to the business goals. He will also manage inventory levels and accuracy to ensure company goals and customer ordering timelines are met. A CTB employee for two years, Lobdell previously held the positions of production coordinator and customer service representative for LeMar. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa.Read more
Waldrop named regional sales manager for Chore-Time
Logan Waldrop has been named regional sales manager for Chore-Time, according to Kevin Alger, sales manager for the United States and Canada for the CTB Inc., business unit. In his new position, Waldrop will maximize the sales of Chore-Time products within Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Eastern Tennessee as he strives to achieve win-win situations for both the company and customer. Prior to his employment with CTB, Waldrop gained over eight years of experience in broiler technician, laboratory research, and poultry science positions at various companies throughout the state of Georgia. NMPF names Gregg Doud as new president, CEO
The National Milk Producers Federation’s (NMPF) has named Gregg Doud, a globally recognized agricultural leader, as its next president and CEO, succeeding Jim Mulhern, who is retiring at the end of the year. “Dairy farmers across the nation are pleased to endorse a true champion of agriculture, someone who both understands the hard work we do and the opportunities and challenges we face both here and abroad,” said Randy Mooney, chairman of the NMPF Board.
