New hires, promotions, retirements
Alltech is pleased to announce new leadership roles within the Alltech feed division. Scot Harold will assume commercial leadership as executive vice president of Feed & Premix, and Brian Gier joins the company as vice president of sales for Hubbard Feeds.

Northside Elevator is pleased to add Zak Rau to their team as grain merchandiser. Rau will be deploying tools for both buyers and sellers of grain to help them make informed decisions and is charged with furthering Northside’s reputation for long-term business relationships. He will also be directly involved in the logistics of grain transport and storage and exploration of new geographic markets.

The National Pork Board has named its first chief sustainability officer by appointing an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in sustainability and environmental program leadership. James "Jamie" Burr took the role of National Pork Board CSO on March 27. Burr leads the sustainability team of five public health, animal welfare and environmental experts tasked with advancing the pork industry's sustainability goals and metrics announced last year.Read more
Mark Dingeldein has been promoted to vice president of engineering for Brock Grain Systems, according to Jack Stambaugh, vice president and general manager for the CTB, Inc. business unit. In his new position, Dingeldein will oversee all Brock engineering groups for storage, handling, conditioning, and structures.
A CTB employee for the past 25 years, Dingeldein previously held the positions of grain handling project engineer, engineering manager (storage), unit general manager for Milford and Kansas City operations, customer service manager, and new product development director.Read more
Central Life Sciences welcomes Kylie Sherrill to the technical services team in support of our livestock feed additive and farm and ranch divisions. Sherrill joins as a technical services entomologist supporting the company's sales and marketing groups, customers and end-users.

Vets Plus Inc. is pleased to announce that Davey Stone and Mary Jane Bone have both recently joined the company as national account directors.
Stone will be responsible for developing the business with animal pharma companies and veterinary channel customers. The latter includes practice groups, shelters, veterinary teaching schools and government institutions.Bone joined Vets Plus on March 20, 2023 and has 27 years of experience in the animal health industry, with a broad background in business development and channel management across cattle, equine, and pet species. Northside Elevator has added Pat Durch, CPA, as financial controller. Durch is responsible for a wide range of accounting related activities including financial reporting, monitoring internal controls, and analysis of financial data. His strength is finding innovative solutions that drive efficiencies. He works to truly understand the needs of staff, streamlining processes to maximize the accuracy of financial decision making. Durch spent the previous fifteen years working at a public accounting firm as an auditor focusing on the manufacturing and distribution sector. He was attracted to Northside’s family-owned structure and its reputation as being an outstanding company in the eyes of customers and employees. Read more
Novus International Inc. is showing commitment to its dairy customers in the Northeast and upper Midwest with its latest hire. The newest member of the dairy assessment team, Kelsey Hefter, will serve as technical ruminant specialist for the company’s C.O.W.S. program. In this role, Hefter will conduct on-farm assessments of cow behavior, farm design and management practices; analyze the findings, and work with the customer to increase profitability by improving cow comfort and optimizing performance. This isn’t Hefter’s first time with the company. In 2021 she had a 9-month-long internship with the C.O.W.S. program.Read more
Prairie Farms Dairy announced the promotion of Chris Hackman as its chief operating officer. Hackman currently serves as senior vice president of operations and succeeds Gary Aggus, who has served as COO since 2006. Read more
